Bournemouth has dropped defender Alex Jimenez from the squad for their upcoming match amid an ongoing investigation. The club announced the decision on its official website.
According to the Daily Mail, the 21-year-old is accused of sending inappropriate messages to a 15-year-old schoolgirl. There is no evidence to suggest the player ever met the girl in person.
“Bournemouth is aware of social media messages concerning Alex Jimenez. The club understands the seriousness of the situation and an investigation is currently underway. As a result, Alex will not be included in the squad for tomorrow’s match against Fulham, and the club will make no further comment at this time,” the statement read.

Jimenez, a Spanish defender who came through Real Madrid’s youth academy, has been with Bournemouth since 2025. This season, he has made 32 appearances and scored one goal.
