After defeating Spar Girona in the semifinals, Valencia Basket will face Casademont Zaragoza in the fight for their fourth consecutive Liga F Endesa title. Under coach Rubén Burgos, the “taronja” team is heading into their sixth straight final appearance. Having lost the first two finals against Perfumerías Avenida, they have won the last three editions.
The final against Casademont Zaragoza pits Valencia against the most consistent team in the competition so far, which finished first in the regular season. As the third-placed team, Valencia will not have home-court advantage in this series, a situation they also faced in the semifinals against Spar Girona without it becoming an obstacle.
However, this time the final will be a best-of-three series, unlike the single-leg quarterfinals and semifinals, meaning home-court advantage could play a bigger role.
The Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) has confirmed the dates for all three games (the third only if necessary), though tip-off times are still to be announced. Valencia will play Game 1 on Thursday, May 14, in Zaragoza against Casademont Zaragoza, and then host the Aragonese side at the Roig Arena on Sunday, May 17. If a decisive Game 3 is needed, it will be played again in Zaragoza on Sunday, May 24.
