In a crucial Game 5 of the CBA playoffs quarterfinals, Beijing Shougang faces Guangdong Hongyuan at home. Ahead of the elimination game, Beijing forward Zhai Xiaochuan spoke to the media about the team’s mindset.
“There’s no other option in a do-or-die game—you either win or you head home for vacation,” Zhai said. “If we want to keep moving forward, we have to take this game. Everybody understands what’s at stake. There’s no choice but to go out there and get the win.”
He emphasized the need for unwavering confidence and belief across the entire roster. “It’s about having that winning mindset. I need to talk more with my teammates, help them bring out their best, and that’s my responsibility.”
